If so this role in our newly refreshed café could be for you!
You will be part of a busy and friendly team at Café on the Park based on Dunsfold Business Park. The Café is a social enterprise providing catering services to the visitors and tenants of the Park as well as volunteering and work place opportunities to young people and adults with autism. You will contribute to the enterprise by supporting its day-to-day operation, working both front of house serving customers, and in the kitchen assisting the Café Cook and other team members. The key benefit of this role is helping to make a real difference to our learners while having no commitment to working either at the weekend or in the evenings.

Responsibilities of the role
12. Welcoming and interacting with customers to provide a friendly and efficient service
13. Taking customer orders and up selling specials and new menu items
14. Prepare hot beverages on our barista coffee machine
15. Assisting the Café Cook in the preparation of fresh and high-quality food options
16. Maintaining a well-stocked, clean and tidy environment in both the kitchen and cafe
17. Contributing to work experience opportunities and enjoyment for Jigsaw’s autistic adult learners and pupils
18. Take on board all customer feedback to ensure great customer experience
To be successful in this role you will need:
19. Proven experience of working in a cafe/restaurant/ front of house/customer facing role
20. Proven experience of preparing food in a commercial kitchen
21. Ability to work under pressure - independently and as part of a team
22. A friendly, cheerful disposition with a positive, can-do attitude and excellent customer service skills
23. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
24. A good standard of personal presentation and a solid understanding of health and hygiene requirements
25. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but not essential
26. Driving Licence or access to a lift (Due to our remote location)
Salary: £9984 PA (£12.80 per hour) FTE £24960
Contract terms: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 12.30pm (Some flexibility around start and end times can be considered)
