Lead Software Developer Stevenage / Bristol Our client has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and passionate Lead Software Developer to join their expanding Weapon Systems Simulation and Experimentation (WSSE) team. They deliver innovative solutions that provide an end-to-end representation of advanced weapon systems, making this a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of defence technology. Key Details: * Salary: Circa £65,000 (depending on experience) * Location: Stevenage or Bristol (relocation package may be available) * Working Pattern: Hybrid, 3–4 days per week on-site The Opportunity: This is a hands-on role working closely with Project Leads, Simulation Architects and the wider client project team. You’ll lead the development of synthetic environments using the C family of programming languages, combining technical leadership with project management and team guidance. The WSSE team is integral to weapon system and system architecture development across the full product life cycle. They integrate real products, models and synthetic environments to provide visualisations, demonstrations, verification and validation, as well as training support.
