This is a travel - temporary assignment.
Responsibilities
* Perform mammography exams with attention to image quality and patient comfort, following department protocols and radiologist orders
* Maintain radiation safety and ALARA standards; monitor equipment performance and initiate service calls for issues per manufacturer guidance
* Verify exam orders, identify patients using two identifiers, obtain informed consent, and review prior studies as needed
* Document patient medical history and ensure all required paperwork and prior studies are available before radiologist interpretation
* Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record, including proper coding and charging for procedures and supplies
* Support QA activities, participate in maintenance scheduling, and assist with training, cross‑training, and coverage across modalities as needed
* Demonstrate flexibility to assist in other imaging modalities, adjust schedules, and participate in on‑call, overtime, or holiday coverage as required
* Uphold patient education, safety, confidentiality, and professional communication with patients, families, and colleagues
Requirements
* Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
* AART registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M)
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire or transfer)
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
* Active radiologic technologist license (state-specific) required
* Preferred two years of prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist, with cross‑training in CT, MRI, or DEXA
* Experience with electronic records systems, including PACS and RIS/HIS
* Ability to operate mammography equipment per manufacturer’s recommendations and maintain documentation for accreditation and audits
* Strong attention to detail, patient communication skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision
