We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Production Engineer to join the team here at Hunter Douglas. The Graduate Production Engineer is required to maintain regular communication with colleagues within the Technical / Quality Team, and across related teams such as Manufacturing, Maintenance, Procurement, and R&D. As a Graduate Production Engineer, here's an idea of what you will be doing: Use lean manufacturing or Six Sigma techniques to reduce waste and increase efficiency. Analyse and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Support investigations into Quality defects and drive corrective actions Leading New Production Introductions into manufacturing Provide technical support & training for production operatives & Team Leaders Develop, maintain and improve product technical / Quality specification. Work closely with R&D, Quality Control, and Production Management teams to ensure smooth production operations. Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during production Provide technical support to Customer base. Assist and drive Automation of processes /data analysis Via Digital tools (AI and Machine learning) Creation of Internal Bill of materials for each product type What we need from you: Degree in Production / manufacturing engineering Knowledge of process improvement methods (e.g.: Lean, Six Sigma) Experience of CAD and automation software (inc. AI tools) would be beneficial Critical thinking and innovative problem-solving to address and resolve production challenges quickly.
