What skills and experience we're looking for
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Castleford, is seeking a highly organized and efficient School Office Administrator to join our team. The role involves supporting our children, families, and staff from the school office. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with school MIS systems, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
1. Serving as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and students, providing a welcoming and helpful presence.
2. Answering phone calls and responding to emails, taking messages, and directing inquiries appropriately.
3. Monitoring and managing the booking system for wraparound care.
4. Supporting school admissions processes and record-keeping.
5. Using the school's Management Information System (MIS) to manage student data and track attendance.
6. Finance administration and the use of online payment systems.
7. Supporting school events and administrative duties.
The successful candidate will:
1. Be enthusiastic, highly motivated, hardworking, and committed to supporting parents and staff.
2. Have excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player.
3. Possess strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in office software, and experience with school-specific finance and MIS systems.
4. Be a practicing Catholic or committed to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school.
