My client is a leading value clothing retailer and they are looking to strengthen their busy head office team by appointing an Assistant Merchandiser to support the team in maximising sales and profit. You will do this by supporting the Merchandiser in sales analysis, forecasting and stock and intake management.
Analyse supplier, category, and product data to inform SWOT analysis and lessons learned. Conduct store visits with the buying team and respond to customer feedback to identify trends for future decisions.
Support product sign-off by providing data-driven insights and keeping the range plan accurate. Monitor intake margins and sizing, and assist with strategy and sign-off documents. Ensure alignment with overall planning goals and update WSSI for owned categories.
Lead the critical path process, communicate intake changes, and address supply issues. Ensure intake data accuracy for WSSI updates and maintain records for future capacity planning.
Prepare sales performance analysis for Monday meetings, propose actions, and ensure promotions and markdowns are timely. Monitor stock levels, update WSSI, and recommend markdowns or reorders to meet targets.
Track terminal stock and suggest markdowns to meet targets, ensuring decisions consider sales, margins, and WSSI spending.
Manage the Merchandise Admin Assistant, conduct weekly meetings, and participate in team discussions. Support performance reviews and objective setting for junior team members.
