Job Details
To provide support for people within their own homes and their local community. This may be in a shared tenancy or a one-one basis where successful applicants may be lone working.
You will be provided with all necessary training such as Moving and Handling, Dysphagia and CALM, lone working where required.
The Person
Must have or be willing to achieve in the first period of registration, the social services and healthcare SCGF level 5 (equivalent to SVQ2) or equivalent to meet Scottish Social Services Council registration.

Ability to provide support to individuals with personal care needs, medication administration, budgeting, cooking and cleaning, moving & handling, ability to undertake physical tasks e.g. being able to comfortably kneel on beds and floors and able to rise without difficulty.
You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period.
As this role requires SSSC registration, you will have three months to apply for registration.
If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
