The McDermott group is seeking an HSEQ Advisor based in Perth, Scotland. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards in health, safety, environmental protection, and quality management.

Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain strong customer relationships
* Coordinate with HSEQ auditors to maintain company accreditations
* Create, monitor, and update procedures within the Quality Management System
* Coach and advise employees and management on HSEQ matters to ensure legal compliance
* Plan and conduct audits, document findings, and implement best practices
* Provide training on HSEQ topics to staff
* Ensure processes deliver expected outcomes and report on performance and improvements
* Promote customer focus and maintain the integrity of the HSEQ management system
* Conduct risk assessments and develop safe operational procedures
* Perform regular site inspections for compliance
* Ensure safety and legal compliance of working practices
* Develop health and safety strategies and internal policies
* Lead training sessions on QHSE topics
* Maintain records and produce reports on inspections, incidents, and statistics
* Stay updated on legislation and industry developments
* Attend relevant seminars and read professional journals
* Produce management reports, newsletters, and bulletins
* Ensure safe installation of equipment
* Manage hazardous substances and emergency procedures
* Advise on specialist areas such as fire regulations and occupational diseases
* Manage and monitor safety signage, PPE, and COSHH controls
* Qualifications: NEBOSH General or equivalent
* Proven passion and knowledge in HSEQ subjects
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting tight deadlines
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Strong knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and DSE
* Auditor training/experience
* Practical approach to implementing processes and change
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
* Must have full rights to work in the UK (IDLR or Settled Status)
