Registered Nurse - Paediatrics

The closing date is 17 August 2025

Passionate, enthusiastic, well-organised and eager to further your skills - if this is you, read on!

We are looking for a Registered Paediatric Nurse to join our friendly team, either on a full-time (37.5 hrs) or part-time (min 23 hrs) basis. Our ward has a small team of people who work closely together, promoting our Trust's values - kindness, integrity, teamwork and equality.

Woodlands paediatric ward has 16 beds with an additional clinical assessment unit for general medical and surgical paediatric patients as well as day admissions. We also have a high dependency cubicle on the ward for very unwell children and we work very closely with Leeds Children's Hospital.

What are the benefits of working for HDFT?

Internal staff are able to apply for a rotational Band 6 development role which allows a Band 5 to gain management experience for a fixed term of 12 months.

Adult trained nurses with 2 years' paediatrics experience are welcome to apply and are able to attend EPALS

All nurses have the opportunity to rotate between ward, SCBU and A & E to gain more experience

Levels 1 and 2 Critical Care are offered to nurses who wish to develop their professional skills

All staff have access to a plethora of free wellbeing and support programmes

Harrogate is a beautiful town in which to live and work

Unfortunately we are unable to offer Paediatric OSCE training to Nurses registered overseas, therefore having an NMC PIN is an essential requirement of this role.
