AR843 – HGV Technician Location: Burton Latimer Salary: £37,500 – £40,000 + Overtime Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician on behalf of one of our clients in Burton Latimer. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a fleet of HGVs, LCVs, trailers, and plant machinery. Ensuring all vehicles and equipment are fully operational, compliant, and safe is central to this role. This position requires strong mechanical engineering skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail. Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of HGVs, LCVs, trailers, and plant equipment. Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty parts on vehicles and machinery. Perform periodic safety inspections and MOT preparations to ensure compliance with DVSA and health & safety regulations. Maintain accurate service and maintenance records using digital reporting tools. Coordinate with the Transport Office or Service Coordinator to schedule work efficiently. Provide support across other sites or plant operations as required. Follow company Quality, Compliance, and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
