Our client is a well established construction group working on a varied project portfolio with individual schemes up to to £4m. They are now looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
Job Tasks
Manage financial aspects of sub-contractor packages including the procurement for Site Management
* Manage cost control, utilising cost & value reporting & cash flow forecasting.
* Produce monthly valuations.
* Valuing and raising variations.
* Attending and reviewing pre-contract meetings.
* Review, comment and agree sub-contract orders
* Contract costing reviews.
* Produce labour records & budgets per contract
* Measure drawings for contract works
* Produce work in progress figures and schedules
* Review and authorise supplier invoices
* Raise sub-contractor orders
* Agree final accounts
* Assisting the accounts team to maintain cash flow
* Advise on credit insurance
* Review, comment and agree sub-contract warranties
* Assist the estimating team
Knowledge / Experience:
* Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors
* Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting
* Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative
* Demonstrable experience in Quantity Surveyor role within the construction industry.
