We are seeking a CNC Programmer to join our Design team at the Bedford site. The ideal candidate will have a strong SolidWorks background, CNC production programming experience, and enjoy working collaboratively.
About the role
As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for transforming design concepts into high-quality, precision-engineered components. You will programme CNC machinery, prepare sheet metal designs using relevant software, and ensure efficient production by accurately creating Bills of Materials (BOMs).
About you
You will create, test, and refine CNC programs using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and TruTops Boost. Collaboration with the design team to interpret technical drawings and specifications is essential.
Ideally, you will have:
* Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in manufacturing or design environments.
* Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of Laser, Guillotine, CNC Punch, and Press Brake.
* Ability to read and create engineering drawings accurately.
Working hours
Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm, and Friday, 9am to 4:30pm, totaling 34.5 hours per week.
Location
The role will initially be based at our Bedford site but will relocate to our Shefford site within the next 2 years.
