Our Team Leaders play a critical role in delivering justice by ensuring your team provides excellent administrative support to recover criminal fines and financial penalties imposed by the Courts. This role offers an opportunity to demonstrate and develop leadership skills.
About Us
Criminal Fines Collection and Enforcement (Enforcement) is a key function within HM Courts and Tribunal Service (HMCTS). Enforcement ensures compliance with fines, Confiscation Orders, and Fixed Penalty tickets, working alongside criminal courts in England and Wales.

Your Role
Our Regional Confiscation Units manage, collect, and enforce Confiscation Orders in the Crown Court, which require convicted defendants to pay amounts derived from their benefits.
You will lead a small team, prioritise work, and ensure your team is skilled and motivated. You will also oversee governance around the receipt, accounting, and transfer of money and data, including auditing financial movements and ensuring compliance with standards.
You will contribute to operational targets, analyze performance data, review procedures, and implement improvements. The role is challenging but rewarding, with development opportunities through HMCTS leadership programs.

Travel and Visa Information
Occasional travel to other courts may be required. The role's salary falls below the threshold for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship from 4 April 2024 unless specific eligibility criteria are met. Applicants should consider their right to work in the UK accordingly.
