Job Summary: The Workday Technical Analyst is responsible for the technical development, optimisation, and continuous enhancement of Workday across all Modaxo portfolios. This role supports the evolution of Workday from its current state to full adoption, ensuring alignment with business strategy and acting as a trusted technical advisor to HR, IT, and functional leaders. The analyst will own integrations, security architecture, reporting, technical configuration, and enable the ongoing delivery of Modaxo’s Workday product roadmap. They will proactively monitor emerging Workday capabilities, assess their value, and drive continuous improvement across the platform. Job Description: Modaxo is looking for a proactive and skilled Workday Technical Analyst to support the ongoing development, optimisation, and enhancement of our global Workday platform. In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of Workday from its current state to full adoption across our business, acting as a trusted partner to HR, IT, and functional leaders. You’ll work across integrations, security, reporting, configuration, and release management—helping us maximise the value of Workday while supporting a seamless and engaging user experience. This is a fully remote role based in the UK. What You’ll Do 1. Integration Development & Management Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, PECI, Cloud Connect and REST/SOAP APIs. Troubleshoot interface issues, monitor logs, and ensure data accuracy across systems. Support integration upgrades and maintain clear documentation and version control. Improve integration efficiency and replace legacy interfaces in line with the Workday roadmap. 2. Technical Partnership & Collaboration Act as a Workday technical subject‑matter expert for HR, IT, Finance, and business teams. Support delivery of the Workday product strategy, ensuring alignment with Modaxo’s broader People and Business priorities. Conduct system impact assessments, including those related to acquisitions or new modules. Partner with functional teams to enhance adoption, support change governance, and translate business needs into technical solutions. 3. Security Architecture & Governance Configure and maintain security roles, domains, policies, and business‑process‑level security. Conduct proactive audits to support compliance, including SoD and GDPR requirements. Troubleshoot access issues and design scalable security structures for new functionality. Maintain clear documentation aligned with internal security standards. 4. Reporting & Analytics Build advanced reports including Matrix, Composite, Trending, Dashboards, and BIRT. Create calculated fields and provide insights to support HR, Finance, and leadership. Support data quality initiatives and recurring reporting cycles. Explore and advise on emerging reporting capabilities such as People Analytics and PRISM. 5. Business Process Enhancements & Platform Optimisation Configure and enhance Workday business processes across multiple modules. Assess new features, identify dependencies, and recommend improvements. Investigate and resolve system issues, enhancements, and configuration gaps. Work with HR to optimise workflows and increase automation. Maintain up‑to‑date documentation on configurations and enhancements. 6. Workday Release Management (Key Focus Area) Lead activities related to bi‑annual Workday releases, including regression testing and impact assessments. Monitor new functionality and recommend enhancements that deliver value. Manage and prioritise the enhancement backlog and communicate progress clearly. Ensure seamless delivery of continuous improvement with minimal disruption. 7. BAU Support & Operational Excellence Provide day‑to‑day technical support for Workday, resolving issues and ensuring data quality. Support HR and business teams in maintaining process compliance and reporting accuracy. Prepare progress updates and maintain audit‑ready documentation. Offer training and guidance to users, SMEs, and partners to strengthen Workday knowledge across the organisation. What You Bring Technical Experience 5 years of hands‑on Workday configuration experience across multiple modules (HCM, Recruiting, Talent and Performance preferred). Experience in Absence, Advanced Compensation, Learning, or Benefits is an advantage. Strong expertise in: Integrations (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, APIs) Workday security model Reporting, dashboards, and calculated fields Business process configuration Release management Core Skills Ability to streamline and optimise HR processes. Strong requirements gathering and user‑story development skills. Experience coordinating Workday’s bi‑annual release cycles and regression testing. Excellent problem‑solving skills, especially across complex, cross‑module scenarios. Clear communication skills to support stakeholder engagement and training.
