Your Role
We are looking for dedicated individuals with prior experience in a professional care setting, to work within our complex care packages in the Carlisle area. This is a community-based role and will involve working with both Adults and Children.
This role is for weekends only; if you are looking for full-time roles, please see our other vacancies.
You will be required to work either on a 1-1 or double-up basis. Daily responsibilities of the role may include:
* Promoting independence
* Managing behaviours and emotions
* Supporting with Autism, ADHD, and Learning Difficulties
* Supporting sensory needs
* Managing medication
* Supporting with mental health
* Managing challenging behaviour
* Meal preparation
* Social enrichment
* Education support
* Personal care

Requirements of the Role
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
* Previous experience within a professional care setting, preferably community-based
* Previous work experience and knowledge of autism, sensory impairments, challenging behaviour, complex care, and mental health
* Be strong-willed and resilient
* Strong knowledge and experience in using alternative methods of communication
* Able to use own judgement and make informed decisions in emergency situations
* Able to work as part of a team
* Knowledge of professional boundaries and safeguarding policies
