BUSINESS MANAGER – MARC JACOBS

Sales | Luxury Beauty

Selfridges, London Oxford Street, Full Time, 37.5 hours a week

As Business Manager, you own the business at one of the world’s most iconic retail destinations — driving commercial performance, leading your team with presence, and translating the brand’s fashion‑led attitude into unforgettable customer experiences.





THE ROLE

OPTIMIZE, ENABLE, INNOVATE!



As our Business Manager – Marc Jacobs, you have full accountability for delivering sales objectives while protecting the distinctive DNA of the brand. You lead and motivate your team, set the standard for execution and artistry, and ensure the counter performs at the highest level every day.

You will be reporting to the Area Manager, and you will manage:



Sales Performance & Customer Experience

* Coach and motivate the team to achieve monthly sales targets and KPIs
* Fairly distribute targets daily, weekly, and monthly
* Deliver Coty’s customer service ceremony with every customer interaction
* Build strong customer relationships through confident storytelling and influence
* Consistently drive upsell while maintaining a premium Marc Jacobs experience
* Perform elevated make‑up and skin consultations to drive loyalty and conversion



Excellence of Execution

* Lead by example as a Marc Jacobs brand ambassador, protecting brand equity at all times
* Stay up to date with We Live Beauty and mandatory Coty Academy training
* Execute merchandising guidelines across permanent and promotional space
* Maintain strong commercial awareness of Coty performance, competitors, and market share
* Plan and deliver customer eventing aligned with brand identity
* Complete month‑end, payroll, and feedback processes accurately and on time
* Ensure adherence to uniform, grooming, and retailer Code of Conduct standards
* Escalate any risks or issues promptly to the Area Manager



Team Leadership & Collaboration

* Take full ownership of team performance, engagement, and development
* Build strong working relationships with the Coty in‑store team
* Manage and welcome agency staff as part of the wider team
* Develop effective partnerships with mobile consultants
* Grow networks across the wider Coty team within your area
* Maintain clear, consistent communication with the Area Manager
* Build trusted relationships with retailer staff and store management
* Support ad‑hoc mentoring of new managers to the business



Technical Processes

* Use iPad tools for reporting, communication, and VM guidelines
* Maintain secure control of iPads and Coty passwords for self and team
* Ensure consistent and correct use of Coty systems and online documentation





YOU ARE A COTY FIT

As an experienced luxury retail leader, you live and breathe beauty. You bring confidence to the shop floor, lead with impact, and treat the business as if it were your own — balancing commercial drive with creativity, discipline, and brand integrity.



* Proven experience managing a team within luxury beauty retail
* Strong sales background with a relentless drive to exceed targets
* High level of make‑up artistry with a passion for fashion‑led brands
* Ownership mentality with a sharp eye for detail and standards
* Confident communicator able to listen, influence, and persuade
* Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable managing change
* Collaborative leader who shares knowledge and develops others
* Fragrance knowledge preferred
