We’re looking for a Customer Services Assistant to join our team at Trinity Square Student Accommodation, supporting Northumbria University students from over 130 nationalities during an exciting and important chapter of their lives. This is a varied, people‑focused role where you’ll help deliver a safe, welcoming and supportive environment, making every interaction count. What you’ll do : Deliver a warm, professional front‑of‑house service to students, visitors, contractors and University partners Act as the first point of contact for enquiries via reception, phone, email, social media and systems Support residents with day‑to‑day queries, maintenance requests and wellbeing needs Provide administrative support including room allocations, post services, key control and student account charges Play an active part in Sodexo’s award‑winning Residency Living Programme, helping students feel at home Support inspections, arrivals, departures and open days to enhance the student experience Promote engagement through events, wellbeing initiatives and communication campaigns Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe, inclusive and exceptional student environment What you bring : A confident ability to manage your workload independently, staying calm and organised in a busy, customer‑facing environment A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service, including handling sensitive situations with care and professionalism Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage clearly and positively with a diverse community A flexible, team‑focused approach with the willingness to support colleagues and adapt to changing priorities Good IT capability, with experience using systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications An empathetic, inclusive mindset with experience supporting people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures A responsible and discreet approach to data protection and confidential information Flexibility to work rotating shifts across a 7‑day operation, with a proactive attitude to learning and development What we offer: Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
