Are you a passionate and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to kickstart your teaching career in a vibrant and supportive environment? Randstad Education is thrilled to be partnering with a lovely junior school in Watford, who are seeking an enthusiastic ECT to join their dynamic team from July 2024! The role will begin from September and is a permanent role, but the school are keen to start employment from July 2024 to ensure the right teacher is paid over the summer holidays.
About the School: Our partner school in Watford is renowned for its welcoming atmosphere, strong sense of community, and commitment to providing an outstanding education for its students. With state-of-the-art facilities and a dedicated team of educators, this school offers an enriching learning environment where both students and staff thrive. The school is a two-form entry junior school based in central Watford, meaning you will have an experienced partner teacher working alongside you to collaborate and work with. Year group is tbc, but will not be year 6.
You will also be matched with a supportive ECT mentor who will allow you opportunities to grow and develop as a teacher, and provided much needed guidance and support during your ECT journey. You will be provided with statutory PPA time, as well as other release time given to early career teachers.
As an ECT at this Junior School, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of the students
2. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
3. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
4. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning experiences
5. Develop professionally, working with specialists and experienced teachers
6. Participate in school events and extracurricular activities
To be successful in this role, you will need:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be in the process of obtaining it
8. Passion for working with children and supporting their development
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
10. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
11. Commitment to continuous professional development
