40 hours per week, across 4x days. Working every other weekend.
Shifts start at 8.30pm – 7.30am inclusive of an unpaid break.

* Provide the highest standard of care to the children, ensuring all their needs are met.
* Check in on the children every 20 minutes (or in line with specific guidelines) throughout the night and record the checks and additional information.
* Support the children’s independence with everyday tasks and personal care.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, external professionals, and colleagues.
* Undertake domestic duties during your night shift between checking in on the children.
* Attend mandatory training courses and other recommended training to support your own development.
What is essential for the role?
The ideal candidate would be passionate about providing quality care and education for the children, have patience and understanding and will ensure they always promote the safeguarding and welfare for the children.
No previous experience or qualifications are required as our dedicated training team and supportive staff will ensure you are given all information and trained to provide quality care for the children.

We are also offering a local minibus pick up service in Basingstoke & Reading.
We want to give you the best opportunity to learn hands on, how to do your role to the highest standard. Initially you will receive 4 weeks of training where you will shadow an experienced member of the team to allow you to learn and build relationships with the children. You will also attend weekly induction training sessions to support you with your new role.
If you are not qualified to the equivalent of NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare, our training team will enrol you into the fully funded qualification after you have passed your probation.
It doesn’t stop there though, throughout your career at Loddon you will continuously receive training and support to help you develop and build a career.
The salary for this position is between £28,691 – 30,201 (inclusive of a 10% night shift allowance).
