Responsibilities
The Premises Officer, under the direct supervision of the Buildings and Facilities Manager and working closely with other members of the Estates Team, is responsible for delivering a professional, customer-focused, and efficient service to support the day-to-day operational needs of Brighton MET College.
The role plays a key part in ensuring that college buildings, grounds, and facilities are safe, secure, clean, and fully operational for students, staff, visitors, and external users. Duties include site security, room set‑ups, basic maintenance tasks, porterage, health and safety checks, responding to emergencies, and assisting with the smooth running of campus activities and events.
The Premises Team operates on a split‑shift rota during the week to provide cover across all college opening hours. Flexibility is essential, as the role may also require occasional weekends, and overtime to meet operational requirements.
Our Premises Officer will be reliable, proactive, practical, and able to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to excellent customer service and maintaining high standards across the campus environment.

Working Pattern
* 6:00 - 14:00 / 13:30 - 21:30 (Monday to Thursday)
* 6:00 - 13:30 / 11:00 - 18:30 (Friday)
