Are you a talented Mechanical Fitter with a passion for engineering and a knack for problem-solving? Our client, an industry-leading engineering company, is seeking an experienced individual to join their team.
Salary: £32, - £45, Annually (Inclusive of Bonus and Overtime)
Shifts: Day Shift - Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
* Maintenance and repair of cargo handling plant equipment, including Forklift Trucks (FLT), Cranes, and Heavy Plant Machinery.
* Conducting regular servicing and ensuring effective repairs to equipment.
* Stripping down and rebuilding motors.
* Changing pistons and spark plugs (not part of a fixed unit).
Skills/Experience Required:
* Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of cargo handling plant equipment, such as FLT, Cranes, and Heavy Plant Machinery, is highly advantageous but not essential.
* Proficient in stripping down and rebuilding motors.
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures and comply with health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
* A relevant trade certificate or diploma in engineering would be beneficial but not essential.
* Any additional certifications related to cargo handling equipment maintenance are highly desirable
