About the Role As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be stepping into lessons when teachers are absent, delivering pre-set work and ensuring a positive learning environment. You don’t need to plan or mark work — just bring confidence, energy, and the ability to engage students in their learning. You’ll cover a range of subjects and year groups (Key Stage 3 and 4), making each day varied, fast-paced and rewarding. What You’ll Be Doing Supervising lessons in the absence of a teacher Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students on task Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans across a variety of subjects Reporting any issues to the teaching and pastoral teams Playing a vital role in keeping learning on track What We’re Looking For Confident and professional classroom presence Experience working with young people (e.g. schools, tutoring, sports coaching, youth work) Strong communication and adaptability Reliable, enthusiastic and ready to take on a challenge Must have or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS check Why Work as a Cover Supervisor?
