As a UTC ECP you will be considered a key person in day-to-day clinical leadership and expertise within the department.
You will be working autonomously within your sphere of competency as a clinician in a diverse, multi-skilled team that includes GPs, Advanced Practitioners, Physician Associates, Paediatric ANPs, Emergency Practitioners and Live Well Coaches.
On each shift, you will provide expert advice and second opinions for patients seen and treated by junior members of staff.

We are looking for full and part time practitioners on a permanent salaried basis. The service is 365 days per year, 7 days a week. This shift will be a night shift.
Main duties of the job
* Take responsibility for the patients assigned through the streaming process.
* Perform assessment of patients needs, plan, implement and evaluate clinical treatment and care using advanced clinical knowledge and skills.
* To assess diagnostics including ECGs, bloods, urinalysis, and X-rays.
* Be able to discuss with patients and carers the range of possible treatment/ management options and their implications before treatment decisions are made.
* Instigate and implement clinical management and treatment changes when appropriate.
* Contribute to specific care guidelines and standards supporting the care of patients across the health economy.
* To implement Health and Safety and Risk Management appropriate to area of work
* To deliver aspects of the Clinical Governance Agenda, following the direction of the Clinical Leadership.
* Contribute to and manage various elements of auditing in the UTC.
* To have overall responsibility for other members of the clinical team within the UTC

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
* Qualified Emergency Care Practitioner (Minor Injuries and Minor illnesses Level 6 or above)
Experience Essential
* Minimum 2 year experience of Primary, Urgent or Emergency Care within the last 5 years.
Skills and Knowledge Essential
* Knowledge of clinical systems (EMIS/Cerner/Adastra/CLEO)
* Good interpersonal and patient care skills
* Good written presentation skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
* Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
* Ability to work under pressure and to prioritise workload
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Support and develop the implementation of change processes
Other Essential
* Active Professional Registration e.g. GMC or NMC
* Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983
* Have had an annual NHS appraisal
