Overview
An opportunity has arisen within Nottinghamshire Change Grow Live for an Engagement Worker. The role is based at our Worksop site, with coverage of the Newark and Bassetlaw areas. The successful candidate will have the skills to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.
Location: Worksop, Bassetlaw and Newark
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2027
Salary: £25,654.66 - £27,861.26 (full-time equivalent, pro rata for part-time)
Note: Full-time hours are 37.5 per week. For part-time roles, salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
* Adopt a positive, holistic and empowering approach to support adults entering and progressing through recovery-focused substance misuse services.
* Deliver a range of interventions, including front-of-house engagement, needle exchange, assessments, risk assessments and management plans.
* Potentially undertake group work, drop-ins, and outreach, to build recovery capital and promote long-term recovery and social reintegration.
* Work across various sites and adjust hours to meet service needs.
Qualifications and experience
* Relevant experience in health and social care, with sound knowledge of substance use.
* Strong skills in communication, engagement, assessment, recovery planning and risk management.
* Ability to work well under pressure and deliver high-quality service.
