Are you passionate about helping people into the right home? We’re recruiting an Allocations Officer for a Housing Association based in Sevenoaks on a 3-month fixed term secondment with hybrid working.
THE ROLE
This position is key to ensuring efficient home allocations, helping customers access the right properties, and supporting tenancy sustainability.
1. Make the best use of housing stock through allocations, mutual exchanges, transfers, decants, and under-occupation
2. Reduce rent loss by managing voids and lettings effectively
3. Support customers in understanding their tenancy responsibilities
4. Collaborate with partners to meet housing and homelessness needs
5. Manage decant processes to ensure customer satisfaction during works
6. Provide accurate, customer-focused advice and support
7. Help develop modern ICT processes for improved service delivery
THE CANDIDATE
We're looking for a confident housing professional with experience in allocations and tenancy support.
8. Strong knowledge of housing allocations, mutual exchanges, and decants
9. Experience in customer service with a positive, solution-focused approach
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all audiences
11. Ability to manage complex cases and sensitive conversations professionally
12. Competent in Microsoft Office and confident using housing management systems
THE CONTRACT
WORKING HOURS: 8:45am – 5:15pm Mon to Thurs, 8:45am – 4:45pm Fri
HYBRID: 2 days per week based in office
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 3 Month Fixed Term, Covering Secondment, potential for extension
RATE: FTE Salary: £32,333. Hourly rate £16.80 PAYE
