At Co-op Funeralcare, we take pride in helping families say the perfect goodbye to loved ones.
As a Funeral Plan Arranger, you’ll be the first point of contact for funeral plans, delivering outstanding client experience and helping clients and colleagues with any funeral plan enquiries and sales. In this role no two days will look the same: you’ll manage your own calendar to meet clients across your region, follow up on enquiries and build relationships in your local community.
Responsibilities
* Provide clients with expert guidance on funeral plans, helping them to understand their options and plan their perfect service, in line with guidelines and regulations.
* Manage your own diary, making and receiving calls with clients or arranging face-to-face visits, as well as follow up on any enquiries you’ve received.
* Keep accurate records in line with policies and regulations, ensuring all client documentation is managed safely, with discretion, and in a timely manner.
* Work closely with the branch teams, providing guidance and support on funeral plans enquiries, as well as support with any admin work when required.
Qualifications and requirements
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Ideally experience in sales, customer service, financial services or other client-facing roles where you’ve helped a client select the right product; this experience would be advantageous, but not required.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with clients, colleagues and the local community.
* A keen eye for detail and accuracy to ensure regulatory policies and processes are always adhered to.
* Excellent admin and organisational skills with the ability to work independently, manage your diary, and travel to client meetings to support the branch teams as needed.
* High levels of empathy, discretion and care; strong listening skills and the ability to understand client needs in times of vulnerability.
* A passion for delivering great service and achieving positive outcomes for clients.

* Access to our Employee Assistance Programme with confidential advice and support, 24 hours a day.

Building an inclusive work environment
We’re actively building diverse teams and welcome applications from everyone. If you have a disability, we can make reasonable adjustments to our recruitment process. We’re also part of the Disability Confident scheme and will offer an interview to disabled candidates who meet the minimum criteria if they apply through the scheme. We’ll ask whether you’d like to be considered under the Disability Confident scheme when you apply. If invited to participate in recruitment, we’ll ask if you need reasonable adjustments to participate. More about our recruitment process at jobs.coop.co.uk/apply-process. More about the Disability Confident scheme at Disability Confident Scheme - Co-op Colleagues and about our commitments to diversity and inclusion at Diversity and Inclusion.
If you’re successful, we’ll perform background checks as part of pre-employment screening, including a DBS check, adverse media checks, and an occupational health questionnaire. We’ll also check your social media activity. In this role you’ll work under FCA regulation and will receive training to become a "certified colleague". To advise clients on pre-need funeral plans as a certified colleague, FCA and financial integrity checks will be performed. These checks identify financial sanctions such as CCJs or bankruptcy; your credit score will not be checked. Any offer of employment will be conditional on the completion of pre-employment screening checks.
