Senior Project Manager - £80,000

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of engineering and technology projects in a fast-moving scale-up environment. This is a high-impact role where you'll oversee programmes from bid stage through to delivery, ensuring that outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
The position is suited to someone who thrives under pressure, is commercially astute, and brings both structure and adaptability to a growing organisation. You'll work directly with senior leaders, OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and internal technical teams, acting as the key driver for project success.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading multiple projects (4-8 at a time) at various stages of development and delivery
Owning the full project lifecycle, from bid management through production handover
Establishing clear priorities and providing regular progress updates to the COO and senior leadership
Driving quality standards across APQP and Six Sigma processes
Managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting (Earned Value & Present Value)
Identifying risks early, mitigating effectively, and adapting plans where necessary
Coaching and motivating project teams while ensuring resources are allocated effectively
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customersAbout You
Proven background in senior project management or programme management (5+ years)
Track record of delivering technically focused projects end-to-end, on time and within budget
Experience in the technology/engineering sector, ideally within a scale-up business
Confident working with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, with an understanding of their standards and processes
Skilled in both agile and traditional methodologies, with gated development expertise
Familiarity with Shipley Bid Process (or similar) and structured bid management
Exceptional financial acumen with experience in cost control, estimation, and forecasting
Strong technical awareness and proficiency with project management software (Jira, Trello, MS Project)
A driven, resilient, and detail-oriented leader who can inspire teams and constructively challenge where necessaryQualifications
Degree in Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Project management certification highly desirable (PMP, PRINCE2, CSM)
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
