An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ophthalmic Technician to work in the Ophthalmology Department at the University Hospital North Midlands NHS Trust. The department treats patients with a range of Ophthalmology conditions, including medical retina, diabetes, macula, and glaucoma.
Working as part of a friendly, modern environment, you will perform diagnostic testing using various imaging equipment and Visual Fields on adults, children, and complex patients. This includes Fundus Photography, Optical Coherence Tomography, and Corneal Topography. Full training will be provided for all testing procedures and equipment.
In addition to the Ophthalmology department at Royal Stoke Hospital, clinics are also held at other sites within the trust, including County Hospital in Stafford, where you may be required to work.
Computer skills are essential, and full training will be provided on the software programmes currently used within the trust.
