We are currently looking for a Regional Fundraising Manager. This role will be based at Scottish SPCA HQ in Dunfermline with a mix of remote working and travel across Scotland as required.

What does a Regional Fundraising Manager do?
As a member of the fundraising management team, the Regional Fundraising Manager will develop regional community fundraising across Scotland, maximize local, national and third-party community events opportunities and lead on the development of national volunteer-led fundraising. You will lead the Regional Fundraising team, each responsible for a geographical patch, creating and promoting a collaborative team culture within your own team and the wider department. You will ensure a Scotland-wide fundraising approach for the Scottish SPCA, utilizing our brand and presence across local communities. You will deliver a range of agreed products, working with the Supporter Experience team to ensure excellent stewardship is delivered to DIY fundraisers and volunteers.
Overview of main duties and responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain and role model excellent internal collaboration skills with relevant departments, while contributing to new and improved ways of team working and project management.
• Manage the Regional Community Fundraising team, ensuring they are ambitious, proactive and collaborative.
• Lead on and work with the Regional Community Fundraising team, the wider department and the Head of Fundraising to develop and deliver Society-wide fundraising engagement, as well as with the People Development team to upskill colleagues and raise awareness of fundraising.
• Work with Operations colleagues to ensure fundraising opportunities are noticed and delivered effectively and safely.
• Research and identify new opportunities to engage community supporters, keeping a close eye on new innovations and opportunities within the sector.
• Work with the wider department to capitalize on new and changing fundraising opportunities, with a proactive approach to adopting new ways of working.
• Lead the Regional Fundraising team in ensuring the Society has a presence across all communities within Scotland, working with Operations colleagues as appropriate and developing and utilizing volunteer networks to maximize these opportunities.
• Lead the Regional Fundraising team in stewarding SMEs, building relationships with local businesses and attending local networking events, while also identifying high-value Corporate opportunities to share with the Corporate Fundraising team.
• Work with the wider team to develop a Speakers Network, ensuring a process of data sharing and a fundraising presence across all educational talks.
• Ensure an excellent supporter experience at all times – lead the Regional Fundraising team and work with the Supporter Experience team to ensure supporter and DIY fundraiser journeys are first class.
• Strategically plan a calendar of Scottish SPCA led events, ensuring a high ROI at all times, attracting a range of supporter demographics while managing resources and taking a ‘quality over quantity’ approach.
• Capitalize on high ROI opportunities, such as third-party and challenge events, and work closely with colleagues in Marketing and Communications to ensure appropriate promotion.
• Work with the Volunteer Programme Manager to develop and deliver a fundraising volunteering strategy with a focus on recruiting and retaining volunteers across the country, as well as providing a range of supportive training and engagement materials.
• Monitor and manage planned activity throughout the year, including budgets.
What makes a good Regional Fundraising Manager?
• 3+ years’ experience within fundraising, ideally within regional, community or events.
• Experience of people management.
• Experience of developing and delivering fundraising strategy.
• Experience managing budget and reporting on KPIs.
• Experience managing multiple projects.
• Experience working and negotiating with suppliers.
• Ability to project manage.
