* Supporting pupils with their NEA (Non-Exam Assessment) and the development of design portfolios.
* Promoting high standards of workshop safety, tool maintenance, and health & safety compliance.
* Encouraging creativity, precision, and independence in design-and-make sessions.
* Utilizing modern technology, including CAD/CAM and 3D printing, to enhance student projects.
* Contributing to wider school initiatives and extracurricular design challenges or STEM clubs.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* A degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, Product Design, or a related subject.
* Strong subject knowledge and the confidence to deliver practical workshop lessons.
* High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and the quality of practical outcomes.
* A professional, organised, and positive approach to departmental teamwork.
