Job Description Post: Part time Senior Marketing and Communications Executive Department: MarComms Grade: Senior Executive Officer Reports to: SAO Marketing & Communications Lead Scope The Senior Executive Officer (MarComms) carries a broad range of key corporate and operational responsibilities within the MarComms Business Unit. All activities of the post holder support the achievement of corporate, operational and business unit objectives. The post holder is accountable for delivery of a range of functions within the MarComms Business Unit including, in broad terms, the implementation of marketing and communication plans, media relations, promotional campaigns, and CCEAs events programme. Key corporate responsibilities 1, To contribute fully, at the appropriate level, to the operations of the relevant Business Unit in order to achieve the objectives of CCEAs Corporate and Operational Plans. 2, To contribute fully, at the appropriate level, within the relevant Business Unit to CCEAs: accountability and performance management framework; riskmanagementframework; qualitymanagementframework;and communications management framework. The post holder will ensure the compliance of self and, where appropriate, others with these frameworks such that they support the achievement of CCEAs Corporate and Operational objectives. 3. To assist the relevant line management, Business Unit Manager, Director and Executive Team in supporting the functions and responsibilities of CCEA and all of its committees. 4. To ensure that CCEA secures value for money from the resources available to it. 5. To ensure, as appropriate to the level of the post, that CCEA operates an effective and transparent system of decision-making which includes a robust challenge function at all levels. 6. To contribute fully, as consistent with the scope of this role, to the full range of the Business Units work in relation to business improvement models including ISO, IiP and Customer Excellence, taking ownership, where applicable, for formal documentation, policies, practices, procedures, records, reports and statistical information. The post holder will be required to identify measures and targets to develop meaningful approaches to benchmarking consistent with a culture of continuous improvement 7. To be responsible for maintaining CCEA records in accordance with the ISO Overview Procedure and to become familiar with records management practices and the implication of the Freedom of Information (FoI), UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection (DP) Acts. 8. To contribute to the effective discharge of the Section 75 duties in line with CCEAs Equality Scheme. 9. To carry out any other duties, falling reasonably within the competence and capability of the post holder, to support the achievement of CCEAs objectives as directed by line management, Business Unit Managers and Executive Team. Key accountabilities The post holder will: develop, implement and evaluate marketing and communication campaigns to support Educational and Corporate initiatives and programmes of work; Providing MarComms expertise in the successful delivery and execution of agreed marketing and communications campaigns and activities; create concise and persuasive copy for the promotion of CCEAs campaigns and resources; create and distribute press releases, and other communications materials to media and other relevant communication channels to promote positive and meaningful messages on behalf of CCEA; develop lines to take, handling any media queries with applicable CCEA senior colleagues, and issuing responses; coordinate and support CCEAs social media presence, including creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement and direct messaging; coordinate internal communications and engagement including employee announcements, newsletters, intranet news stories and internal engagement events; draftandpresentreportsforCCEAcampaignsonrequest,usingavailable analytic tools, such as Google Analytics/GA4 and Social Media Analytics; managethedeliveryofkey corporateevents; perform any other duties, as appropriate to the level of the post, as required by line manager. Key people management responsibilities The post is not a line management role. However, the post-holder will: co-ordinate and monitor the output and work of others in relation to work within and outside the business unit. have due regard at all times for the personal health and safety for oneself and others within the relevant section, team, Business Unit and organisation in general. Key financial management responsibilities The post holder will support and be accountable to the Communications and Engagement Manager for various aspects of budgetary planning and control. The post holder will monitor and report on aspects of budgetary control in relation to the scope of this role. Person Specification Post: SEO Senior Marketing and Communications Executive (Part-time) EssentialCriteria Please provide evidence against how you meet each criterion in the appropriate box on the application form: Education/Training 3rd level qualification in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or relevant field Experience Two years experience of working in a marketing, events or communications environment Experience of developing and delivering marketing and/or communication plans to include the effective use of digital and social media Experience of writing effective and succinct copy for a range of communication channels (such as social media, press, web, and print) Skills A high level of ICT skills including MS Office, and use social media platforms Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team Other Accesstoaformoftransportwhichwillallowthepostholdertofulfil the duties of the post Desirable Criteria Experience of using social media and digital marketing measurement tools such as Hootsuite, and GA4.
