Requirements
The duties of this position involve regulated work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, to undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before any formal employment offer is made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are continuously updated; any relevant information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.
Responsibilities
We adhere to the national guidance "Safer Recruitment Through Better Recruitment" for pre-employment checks. During your application, you should provide details of at least two appropriate references, including one from your current or most recent employer, which must be from an appropriate senior manager. References from peers at the same level are not acceptable.
The Individual
This is a permanent, full-time position based at Stewarton Academy, Stewarton. The working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, as directed by the line manager. The salary range for this position is £40,305 - £50,589 per annum.
