As an SEN Teaching Assistant in a mainstream primary school, you will support pupils with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties. The role may involve 1:1 support or small group interventions, helping pupils to access the curriculum and thrive within a classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: Supporting pupils with SEN within a mainstream classroom Delivering targeted interventions and learning support Assisting with behaviour support and emotional regulation Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs Helping to create an inclusive, supportive and positive learning environment Requirements: Have experienced supporting children with SEN in a mainstream primary school (preferred) Be patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS on the update service Why Work with Hays?
