We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Statistician to join our Clinical Statistics team, an ideal team leadership role. The role involves providing team leadership and statistical expertise for the Research & Development departments across the Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) product range, collaborating with Research & Development, Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory colleagues.

The Opportunity
In this role, you will join a vibrant, friendly, and inclusive group of Statisticians and SAS Programmers, working on a diverse range of projects utilizing various statistical techniques. Our statistical teams collaborate to form a network of professionals, sharing best practices, insights, and skills, fostering professional development.
Key responsibilities as a Principal Statistician include:
* Leading and mentoring team members, managing people and developing talent.
* Supporting the transfer of products and processes from Research & Development into Manufacturing to facilitate new product launches.
* Monitoring manufacturing, stability, and product performance data to drive continuous improvement.
* Managing development trials and analytical test methods, applying your statistical expertise to inform quality and business decisions.
Essential Skills and Experience
You should hold a BSc (or higher) in Statistics or Mathematics. Experience in a regulated or manufacturing environment, along with SAS/R programming skills, is advantageous.
You will be expected to contribute to and manage several projects, working with colleagues from diverse backgrounds to communicate statistical concepts effectively. You should be adaptable, detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
