Maternity Cover Full-time teacher needed from September 2025 on a fixed-term contract to work in Lenny's Den - our communication and Interaction hub (please note this is not an SRP).
About the Role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to join our Craylearning community for the next academic year. The successful candidate will work with a small group of children with additional needs, focusing on communication and interaction. You will join two support staff members in leading the class. The hub has been operational for two years and is well-resourced across two rooms, including a sensory room and outdoor space. It supports children from EYFS to Year 2, all of whom have EHCPs or are undergoing statutory assessment.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience working with children with significant communication and interaction difficulties, including ASD or on the pathway, with varying levels of verbal communication.
* Experience using Widgit, visual timetables, communication/phrase boards, PECS, and Little Wandle is advantageous.
* Approachable and able to engage effectively with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
* Aligned with the school's ethos of 'happy together, safe together, learning together.'
