Salary: XCET PS8 - £34,164 (FTE: £36,873) per annum

Xavier Catholic Education Trust is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organised Secondary HR Lead to join our HR team. This is a pivotal role responsible for managing all school-based HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle while providing expert HR advice and support to the Headteacher and school leaders.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of effective people management practices, supporting staff wellbeing, maintaining compliance with employment legislation and Trust policies, and contributing to wider HR initiatives and people strategies across the Trust.
Our ideal candidate will have:
1. Relevant HR qualification, ideally CIPD level 3 or above or able to evidence knowledge and understanding of HR through experience in HR. Willingness to study for a relevant professional qualification if appropriate.
2. Commitment to the Catholic ethos and education of young people.
3. The ability to be both organised and flexible, responsive to change and able to give professional advice in a clear and concise way.
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administration with experience in the use of HR systems and IT packages such as Word, Excel.
5. Strong commitment to team success, focused on working together to support the central team and schools within the Trust.
6. Experience of working in HR either within an educational setting or as an HR generalist.
7. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.

The Central team supports the schools across a wide spectrum of areas including Finance, HR, Estates, communication, Teaching & Learning and support for children with additional needs. The team are based at Salesian School in Chertsey and travel to the individual schools on a regular basis.
