The Role
As a Senior Monitoring Analyst you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise monitoring and vulnerability management solutions.
Day-to-day, you’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy, ensuring proactive issue detection, performance optimisation, and integration of monitoring with incident and patch management workflows.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Acting as a monitoring subject matter expert, influencing monitoring strategy, standards, and best practices across the organisation
2. Maintaining tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk and Azure Monitor
3. Continuously evaluating and recommending enhancements to monitoring toolsets, including emerging technologies and open-source platforms
4. Leading cross-functional monitoring projects, including toolset upgrades, integrations, and service improvements
5. Infrastructure maintenance i.e. Maintaining virtual server estates and system software as well as ensuring systems are secure, up-to-date, and available
6. Using PowerShell or similar for basic automation tasks and coordinating and monitoring patching activities across infrastructure
Essential experience of the Senior Monitoring Analyst:
7. Previous experience in monitoring enterprise IT environments
8. The ability to manage multiple incidents simultaneously and lead efforts to resolve complex issues
9. Previous experience scripting in PowerShell
10. Extensive experience with patch management and vulnerability scanning tools
11. Proven experience leading monitoring and observability projects across infrastructure, applications, and user experience domains
12. The ability to correlate infrastructure metrics with business service performance

This role is 37 hours per week based at any of our main UK locations.
