Roles and Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery: Planning and executing high:quality, differentiated lessons that challenge all pupils, particularly those identified as Greater Depth.

Assessment and Tracking: Using formative and summative assessment data to create precise intervention maps for pupils underachieving in core subjects.

Subject Leadership: Taking responsibility for a foundation subject area, overseeing its development and resource allocation across the whole school.

Collaborative Planning: Participating in trust:wide moderation and planning sessions to share best practices and ensure curriculum consistency.

Stakeholder Engagement: Leading professional parent:teacher consultations and providing regular, transparent updates on pupil attainment.

Requirements for the Role

Mandatory Certification: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant UK degree.

Teaching Track Record: Evidence of Good or Outstanding teaching practice in a previous Key Stage 2 role (ECTs with strong placements are encouraged).

Curriculum Knowledge: Expert understanding of the National Curriculum and statutory KS2 assessment frameworks (SATs).
