Role: Process Development Technologist Location: Crick, Northamptonshire (NN6 7TZ) Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 The Role Would you feel proud seeing products in a store and knowing you played a vital role in getting that product to market? Here at Butcher’s Pet Care, you’ll do just that, taking new products through to successful launch, by assessing and developing manufacturing processes and controls, as well as optimising manufacturing processes to improve the quality of our existing products. You’ll be responsible for writing manufacturing procedures, leading production trials, creating and delivering quality improvement plans and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. You’ll work with other departments across the business – to ensure production has a strong understanding of the manufacturing process, with engineering to ensure the correct machine set up, or with Technical to ensure the processes you design are compliant. About You Ideally, you’ll be able to demonstrate previous experience in food (or drink) process development (or improvement). If you’ve worked in meat and protein processing, it would be advantageous, but it’s not essential, so if you haven’t got this experience, we’d still like to hear from you. You’ll need to be process-driven, and able to spot opportunities to implement and drive improvement. You’ll need to be a strong communicator – the processes you write will be used to produce our products, so ensuring your guidelines are clear, yet succinct will be key.
