Join Our Neighbourhood Cleaning Team – Full-Time Opportunity
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Neighbourhood Cleaning Team at Southampton City Council.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll work at the heart of our communities, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness in the communal areas of council-owned flats.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean and maintain communal areas in both walk-up and tower blocks.
* Keep external areas tidy, safe, and free from litter and obstructions.
* Take care of cleaning equipment and report any faults.
* Follow Health & Safety procedures and report concerns.
* Work closely with the housing management team to support a safe and welcoming environment.
What We’re Looking For
* Someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to community service.
* A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role.
* Experience in cleaning or caretaking is helpful but not required – full training will be provided.

Salary: The salary band for this role is £24,795 to £25,185 The starting salary is £24,795 with annual progression through the salary bands.
