Role
We are on the hunt for an experienced Supplier Manager. The role will suit someone with experience across supplier management, relationship management, and operational scope, including procurement and category management. This role is based on-site in our Manchester office, where we prioritise in-person collaboration and teamwork.
Eligibility
We regret that this position is only available for UK citizens/Residents with indefinite leave to remain in the UK, with current full-time work rights for the United Kingdom, currently residing in the UK.
What you'll be doing:
* Providing supplier quotations to the business for bids, tenders, & projects
* Managing ordering and invoicing against purchase orders and project milestones
* Maintaining an updated inventory / stock list on the Sage system
* Providing monthly stock reports spanning multiple global hubs
* Enhancing, negotiating, and improving third-party relationships
* Working with key stakeholders to improve the visibility of supply and thus forecasting accuracy
* Challenging colleagues on requisitions and suppliers on price and quality
* Thinking creatively and researching alternative solutions to keep costs low
Maintain relationships with key suppliers, including:
* Ensuring supplier onboarding process and related forms are completed
* Ensuring provision and update of Contract, NDA, Insurance, and any required regulatory documentation
* Maintaining a dynamic, accessible document repository for the above, working with the Head of Quality
* Managing ongoing relationships, keeping current price lists and product catalogues
* Chasing supplier purchase orders and payment
* Liaising with Vix and its affiliates in other (global) regions to ensure monitoring of supply issues and timely deliveries achieved
* Managing sustainability, supporting environmental, social and governance decisions
What You'll Need To Be Successful:
* Essential experience managing complexity in systems and processes
* Experience with SAGE
* Purchasing experience
* Negotiation & relationship management skills
* MS and G-Suite experience
* Cost control and budget management experience
Desirable:
* Experience with Accounting and Finance business processes and systems
* Purchasing experience with electronic components both in the UK and internationally
* Experience in the public transportation sector
* Exposure to and experience with Software Development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
