The role
The Governors of Gorse Covert Primary School wish to appoint a committed, highly motiviated, dedicated and caring person to join our team of lunch time Playworkers, supervising children from Reception to Year 6 during lunchtime.
The position we are looking for is Midday Assistant and Play Worker.
This role is being a key member of the play team, working closely with the Play Coordinator. Your role will be to ensure that every child enjoys a meaningful and enriching lunchtime play experience each day. You will collaborate with the team to create a safe, stimulating outdoor enviroment that encourages social interaction, physical activity, and creativity. In additional to overseeing play, you will support children during their lunchtime transition to and from the dining hall, ensuring thay have a pleasant and positive mealtime experience. You will also assist in maintaining a clean and tidy dining area by clearing tables promptly, ensuring readiness for the next group of diners while maximising outdoor playtime for all children.
You would be Responsible to Mrs G Poole - Headteacher.
On occasions you will be required to attend Midday Assistant meetings and trainings.

The pay grade is Grade 3 SCP 4 £12.65 per hour. The working pattern is Monday to Friday Term Time Only 11.45am to 13.15pm.
