We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual for the position of Van Driver. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient delivery of goods and services while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to safety, making them an integral part of our team.
We are a fast-growing company specialising in Waste Management, Property Maintenance, and Site Services across Manchester and the North West. We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Van Driver / Operative to join our team and play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate a company van to collect and deliver materials, waste, and equipment across various sites.
* Assist with waste removal, property clearances, and site support as part of day-to-day operations.
* Ensure all goods and waste are loaded, transported, and unloaded safely, following company and environmental regulations.
* Maintain accurate delivery and collection records, noting any discrepancies or site issues.
* Carry out basic vehicle checks and maintenance, reporting any faults promptly.
* Communicate effectively with office staff, site teams, and customers to ensure smooth coordination of daily tasks.
* Support warehouse and yard duties when required, including heavy lifting, sorting materials, and general upkeep.
Experience & Requirements
* Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is essential.
* Experience in waste management, removals, logistics, or property maintenance is highly desirable.
* Ability to handle physical work and heavy lifting in a safe and efficient manner.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A valid UK driving licence suitable for the vehicle type (no major endorsements).
