Title: Senior Property Accountant

Reports to: Vice President of Hotel Accounting
Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000 annually
PURPOSE
This motivated individual will work directly with the hotels and Property Accountants to support and coordinate administrative and financial accounting aspects for a designated portfolio of hotels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist management in the review of P&L’s and month end packages
2. Report to third parties and respond to all inquiries in a timely fashion
3. Assist in sales tax audits and review sales tax exempt reports
4. Perform reconciliations and account analysis for balance sheet accounts to include cash, account payables, account receivables, prepaid and accrued accounts
5. Perform month-end accounting close and review financial reports to identify and explain variances.
6. Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances.
7. Provide appropriate accounting information to hotels and management when needed.
8. Assist hotels in accounting issues and queries daily.
9. Generate and distribute account management reports on monthly basis.
10. Adhere to standard accounting principles and company procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
17. General accounting experience required, to including general ledger, bank reconciliations, financial statement, balance sheet preparation and A/P required.
18. PC literacy in MS Word and MS Excel required.
19. Hospitality and SAP experience a plus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
20. Bachelors in Business/Accounting or 5 years relevant experience required.
