The Role This is a newly created role and a genuine opportunity to shape something from the ground up. As Business Development Manager, you will be the primary driver of growth for Partners Credit Union securing new employer payroll partnerships, developing existing relationships, and playing an active role in community engagement across the Liverpool City Region. You will work directly with the CEO and be trusted to work independently, managing your own pipeline and delivering measurable outcomes. This is a hands-on, outward-facing role for someone who thrives on building relationships and can demonstrate real impact, not just activity. Key Responsibilities Research, target and secure new employer payroll partnerships Grow membership, savings and lending within existing partner organisations Represent Partners Credit Union at community events, employer forums and local activities Develop and deliver marketing and engagement activity to support growth Drive member-to-borrower conversion as part of sustainable lending growth Maintain pipeline records and report regularly to the CEO on performance What Were Looking For A proven track record of securing new partnerships or relationships that delivered measurable outcomes Experience in business development, employer engagement, sales or community partnership roles Confident, credible and comfortable engaging at all levels Self-motivated and results-focused able to work independently and manage your own workload Aligned to cooperative values and committed to financial inclusion Experience in financial services, credit unions or working with trade unions is desirable but not essential. We are more interested in what you have delivered than where you have done it. Working Arrangements Hybrid working with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Regular travel across the Liverpool City Region is required, with occasional travel to national employer offices. A driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous.
