Biomedical Equipment Technician - Kingston, New York
This position supports the Multi‑Vendor Biomedical business with our clients. The role is responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, and service biomedical equipment at customer sites.
Responsibilities
* Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and service repair on equipment using service manuals, OEM or 3rd‑party training.
* Identify and resolve customer issues, provide appropriate communication, and involve site service personnel.
* Maintain customer satisfaction by demonstrating ownership and sense of urgency in difficult circumstances.
* Prioritize tasks as communicated by the Site Manager, Site Team, or customer.
* Independently complete PMs, FCOs, installations, and related tasks; diagnose and resolve electronic, network, and mechanical problems.
Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment (general biomedical, patient monitoring, blood pressure monitors, defibrillators, or infusion pumps).
* Associate’s degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience; BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred.
* Working knowledge of electronic circuit boards, schematics, processors, computer hardware, applications, programming, and systems functionality.
* Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment, and knowledge of necessary tools and test equipment.
Physical, Cognitive and Environmental Requirements
Must be able to work flexible hours (including overtime, weekends, and on‑call rotations), safely work with radiation sources or radioactive materials, and wear required personal protective equipment.
Work Culture

Onsite roles require full‑time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Compensation & Benefits
The hourly pay range in New York is $27.87 to $44.58, plus overtime eligible. This role also includes on‑call pay, training, and advancement opportunities. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
Other compensation may include an annual incentive plan, field service incentive bonus, sales commission or long‑term incentives.
