Our client is seeking a motivated and analytical Product Owner to join their team. The role is based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.

The team are working to revolutionise the supply chain and logistics industry. They enable supply chain transparency and provide real-time data on sustainability, fair-trade and carbon usage through cloud hosted data environments, micro services, android and IOS applications.
Clients include major international retailers across the Food, FMCG and Pharmaceutical industries and one of the world’s leading facilities management companies. They also work closely with UK and EU government bodies and are currently developing more platforms to facilitate trade.
About You:
Our client is looking for a Product Owner to join their team and help them build great products that present value and benefits to their customers and partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the agile development process, as well as the ability to gather and prioritize user requirements. You will also be responsible for communicating with stakeholders and ensuring that the product meets their needs.
This role will require and demand the incumbent to have excellent presentation and organisation skills as you will be representing P2D onsite at Customer Locations. (First impressions count and last with our customers).

It is also important that you have a clean valid UK driving license and the willingness to travel to client sites (UK wide) when required. You are the voice of the customer.
The Role:
1. Serve as a product expert, product evangelist and the voice of the customer
2. Work with customers and focus groups to identify product enhancements and consolidate input
3. Work with the sales, support and development teams to identify and document user stories and requirements
4. Develop and maintain a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for the product
5. Lead product design, write users stories and detailed requirements
6. Apply your expertise to analyze and better understand how users interact with our products
7. Define and quantify the impact of new products and/or features being considered for inclusion in a product release.
8. Define and drive functional and technical strategy and product roadmaps.
9. Develop architecture and coding standards while ensuring the standards are being adhered to
10. Lead software design reviews and participate in code reviews.
11. Develop in-depth knowledge of competitor products, identify and maintain strengths and weaknesses (SWOT)
12. Work with technology and integration partners to define integration processes and requirements.
13. Develop sales and product collateral as well as go-to- market and launch materials
14. Assist in product testing, analysis and diagnosis
15. Document procedures, standards, best practices, configuration settings and sequence
Essential Skills:
16. 1-2 years experience and exposure within external client facing environments, facilitating and eliciting customer requirements.
17. The ability to elicit requirements from the customer and effectively communicate change which affect their requirements, is a prerequisite for this role.
18. Scrum/Agile experience. Certifications valued but not required.
19. Technical prowess. You are adept in system architecture, integration and client/server to Web and SaaS technologies.
20. Logistics – Supply Chain background experience.
21. A great communicator. You communicate in a professional and personable manner.
22. Team Player. You love being the decision maker, coordinator, go between and referee.
23. Best practices. You are always looking for ways to make things better, faster and more streamlined – both for customers and internally.
24. Software enhancements. You love working with customers to come up with ways to improve the software to make their life better. You can articulate the business value and impact of why a functional or technical improvement or enhancement is justified.
25. Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
Desirable Skills:
26. 5 years + experience in a client facing environment, eliciting customer requirements and effectively communicating and managing requirement change to the client.
