The Paediatric Psychosocial Service (PPS), part of Manchester University Hospitals NHS Trust (MFT) CAMHS within the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, is seeking to recruit a Clinical Psychologist to provide specialist clinical and neuropsychology services to patients within the neuro-oncology service at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and The Christie Hospital. The role involves collaboration with clinical psychology colleagues and the neuro-oncology MDT, as well as a small but important role in consultation and training with the Cochlear Implant Team at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated mental healthcare professionals to promote and improve the mental health and well-being of children and young people with physical health conditions and their carers.
Responsibilities include managing a defined caseload, conducting assessments, providing treatments, and discharging patients. The role also involves consultation and liaison with medical teams, providing evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions, contributing to MDT care planning, offering consultation, training, and support to the team, developing the clinical psychology service with senior colleagues, supervising junior colleagues, trainees, and assistant psychologists, and contributing to audit and research.

To be eligible, candidates must have an accredited postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology, registration with the HCPC, and post-qualification experience in paediatric, adolescent, or adult health psychology.
