Hays Procurement and Supply Chain are recruiting on behalf of a well-established public sector organisation based in CO. Armagh to appoint 2x Assistant Procurement officers.
Your new role
Reporting to the Procurement Officer you will be responsible for:
1. Purchasing goods and services in accordance withpany procedures to achieve value for money
2. Liaising with and providing assistance to customers on procurement matters
3. Operating a PC andputer systems to facilitate the delivery of a procurement service
4. Resolving invoice queries in conjunction withpany shared services to ensure prompt payment of suppliers.
5. Responding to queries from suppliers
6. Liaising with PaLS colleagues in all PaLS sites on procurement related matters, including the participation in groups (if required)
7. Any other duties as required within the Band of the post.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Essential Criteria Five GCSE’s, including GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths (Grades A* - C) OR equivalent qualifications to demonstrate literacy and numeracy OR Higher Qualification
9. Experience in the use of Windows-based software, ie Outlook, Word and Excel.
10. Ability to meet high standards of quality and professionalism.
11. Ability to maintain and continuously improve customer service.
12. Ability tomunicate effectively to meet the needs of the post in full.
13. Ability to use own initiative and work independently or as part of a team.
14. Awareness of public procurement legislation
