At Arriva TrainCare we have an amazing opportunity to join us as a Fuel Point Assistant working on a permanent contract, working on average 37 hours per week, from 19:00 to 06:00 on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

What will I be doing as a Fuel Point Assistant?
Working as part of the Light Maintenance team you will operate the fuel point and CET plant to deliver the highest possible performance. Carrying out overnight servicing on a variety of customer trains, including, but not limited to the replenishment of coolants, oils, fuels, sanding systems and screenwash.
Duties Will Include
* Fuelling of traction units
* Filling toilet water tanks
* Filling wholesome water tanks
* Topping up of any other ontrain systems
* Carry out activities to documented Vehicle Maintenance Instructions
* Cover for the Operations Controller as and when required
What will I need to become a Fuel Point Assistant?
* Solid understanding of relevant health and safety and environmental standards
* Ability to problem solve and work part of a team
* Previous experience in and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities
* NVQ Level 2 in Engineering is desirable
